Children's rehabilitation and health center "Kolos"
"Kolos" is the name of a fairytale corner of the Belarusian Polesie in the Kobrin district.
The crystal-clear air of the pine forest, the cozy and comfortable rooms, and the friendly and welcoming staff—all this together creates a magical atmosphere for the resort's young guests.
On June 1, 2004, the health center hospitably opened its doors and on the 15th of the same month, it welcomed its first children.
The center's primary focus is year-round health and spa treatment for children and adults affected by the Chernobyl disaster, as well as other categories of citizens.
The health resort is located in a picturesque pine forest in the Sosnovy Bor state ecologically clean zone. Despite its proximity to the regional center (9 kilometers), there's no hint of the city with its noise and constant bustle.
The Kolosa base is located in a secure, fenced area and resembles a small, cozy town: three dormitory buildings, a leisure building with a club and dining hall, a treatment building and a health and wellness complex, a café-shop, and parking. Accommodations include double rooms, triple- and quadruple-bed rooms, and superior rooms with a balcony, comfortable furniture, a TV, and a refrigerator. Each dormitory building has laundry rooms with automatic machines and drying rooms.
The sanatorium's recreation and leisure areas are equipped with Wi-Fi.
Modern medical equipment from leading European and CIS countries allows us to provide high-quality services to patients with respiratory, cardiovascular, thyroid, gastrointestinal, urinary, peripheral nervous, and musculoskeletal conditions.
The center's medical department operates with a well-oiled system: on the day of arrival, all guests are examined by nurses and referred to doctors, where a course of treatment is prescribed based on their diagnosis. If a specialist examination is necessary, guests are referred to the Kobrin Central District Hospital for consultation. At Kolos, guests are under 24-hour supervision by medical stations located in each dormitory, where emergency care and medication are provided.
A key component of our center's wellness program is six meals a day, including multivitamins, fresh vegetables, fruits, and natural juices. Natural meat, fish, and seafood dishes accelerate the elimination of radionuclides from the body.
Every day, cultural and sporting events, educational and entertainment programs, discos, and video sessions are held for vacationers.
Young visitors can enjoy a variety of activities to enrich their leisure time: beading, salt dough and cold porcelain modeling, decoupage, embroidery, paper wicker weaving, and much more. The youngest guests will feel right at home in the playroom.
But they don’t forget about education at Kolos either—bright classrooms invite students to classes, and the library provides literature for every taste.
Thus, thanks to the well-coordinated work of our team, health improvement and relaxation at our center turn into a holiday.
