The facilities include dental, ultrasound, massage, hydrotherapy, balneotherapy, physiotherapy, reflexology, carboxytherapy, a solarium, exercise therapy, a gym, and a weight room.
Ultrasound diagnostics (US) is a safe, non-invasive method for examining internal organs using ultrasound waves. It allows the doctor to evaluate the structure, size, shape, and position of organs, and identify diseases and pathologies such as inflammation, stones, or tumors. The advantages of ultrasound include the absence of radiation exposure, speed, high information content, and the ability to be repeated multiple times. We offer:
- Ultrasound examination of abdominal organs
- Ultrasound examination of the genitourinary system
- Ultrasound examination of the thyroid gland with superficial lymph nodes
- Ultrasound examination of the mammary glands with superficial nodes, soft tissue, and pleural cavity.
- Ultrasound Doppler
- Echocardiography
Manual massage is a method of manual manipulation of the body using hands to improve health and well-being. It involves mechanical and reflex action on muscles, skin and tissue, which promotes relaxation, stress reduction, improved blood circulation and the elimination of toxins. Our sanatorium employs massage nurses and massage technicians. The massage therapist adapts the technique and intensity depending on the patient’s response, which ensures an individual approach and high efficiency.
The main benefits of manual massage:
• Improved blood circulation and lymph flow: Promotes better tissue oxygenation and the elimination of toxins.
• Relief from stress and muscle tension: Helps to relax, improves mood and reduces anxiety.
• Pain relief and improved flexibility: Relieves muscle pain and increases joint mobility.
• Improved skin condition: Increases skin tone, elasticity and color.
• Strengthening the immune system: Promotes overall strengthening of the body.
Thermotherapy (thermotherapy) is a physiotherapy technique based on the use of heat to treat and prevent various conditions. The procedures utilize heated substances such as paraffin, ozokerite, therapeutic mud and sand, as well as various heating pads and lamps. Heat improves circulation, accelerates metabolism, relieves spasms and inflammation, and promotes tissue regeneration.
Thermotherapy improves circulation, reduces pain and inflammation, and accelerates metabolism. It also increases sweating, which helps eliminate toxins and cleanse the body. The Kolos Health and Wellness Center offers the following procedures:
• local paraffin-ozokerite applications
• local applications with sapropel mud
• local contact cryoelectrotherapy
• general thermotherapy in a SPA capsule
• electro-mud procedure using direct or alternating current
• infrared sauna
Thermotherapy has contraindications, and these are:
• Acute inflammatory diseases
• High body temperature
• Severe diseases of the cardiovascular system
• Malignant and benign neoplasms
• Pregnancy
Magnetic therapy is a physiotherapeutic treatment method that involves applying magnetic fields (constant, alternating, or pulsed) to the body to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and accelerate tissue regeneration. The procedure improves circulation, relieves swelling, strengthens the immune system, and can be used for a variety of conditions, from arthritis and injuries to nervous system problems and skin conditions. Before beginning therapy, consult a doctor to rule out any contraindications.
The magnetic field accelerates biochemical processes in cells, increases their permeability, and promotes the removal of excess fluid.
It dilates capillaries, improving tissue oxygenation and nutrient delivery.
It has anti-inflammatory, decongestant, and analgesic effects.
It accelerates the restoration of damaged tissue and wound healing.
It also boosts the body's immune system.
Types of magnetic therapy in our sanatorium:
- general
- local "OrthoSPOK"
- supravenous
- magnetophoresis (with the introduction of a medicinal substance)
Mechanical therapy methods are those that use mechanical energy for treatment and recovery. These include ultrasound, pneumatic compression (presso) and apparatus massage, traction therapy, and dry (non-contact) hydromassage, where mechanical vibrations, pressure, and movement are applied to the body to achieve a therapeutic effect.
• Ultrasound therapy: the use of high-frequency sound vibrations, including for drug administration (phonophoresis).
• Pneumocompression therapy (pressomassage): massage using inflatable cuffs that create variable pressure on the limbs.
• Non-contact massage
• Apparatus massage: mechanical massage performed on special equipment, such as massage tables or chairs.
• Local vibration therapy (YAMAGUCHI)***
Restorative dentistry is a branch of dentistry that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the teeth, gums, and periodontal tissues. It includes procedures such as the treatment of dental caries and its complications (pulpitis, periodontitis), fillings, and professional teeth cleaning.
Light therapy is a treatment method using light (infrared, visible, or ultraviolet) to stimulate regenerative processes, relieve inflammation and pain, and strengthen the immune system.
Light therapy accelerates tissue regeneration, relieves inflammation and pain, strengthens the immune system, improves circulation and metabolism, and has a bactericidal effect (ultraviolet light).
Light therapy at the Kolos Health and Recreation Center is offered in the following forms:
ELECTROTHERAPY is a physiotherapeutic treatment method using electrical currents of varying shapes and frequencies, aimed at stimulating nerves and muscles, improving circulation, reducing pain, and accelerating tissue regeneration. The procedure is performed using specialized equipment under the supervision of medical personnel.
Electrotherapy has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, improves circulation and tissue trophism, accelerates tissue regeneration, and stimulates metabolism.
The following types of electrotherapy are available:
PHYSICAL THERAPY - Physical therapy (PT) is a treatment and rehabilitation method that uses specially selected physical exercises to restore health, prevent disease, and improve overall well-being. The Kolos Health and Recreation Center has developed programs tailored to the patient's needs, diagnosis, and age. These programs help strengthen muscles, restore motor function, normalize internal organ function, and prevent complications after injuries, surgeries, or prolonged bed rest. Classes can be held in groups or individually, and can also be held in the pool
The gym is equipped with the following exercise machines:
A specialized venue offering medicinal herbal teas, oxygen cocktails, and healthy drinks. The main goal is health prevention and improvement, rehabilitation, boosting immunity, and normalizing metabolism using natural plant ingredients.
The main components of the herbal bar are:
Diet therapy is a therapeutic method that uses specially formulated nutrition for the prevention and treatment of diseases. It involves adjusting food composition (proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins), calorie content, and dietary regimen (meal frequency and timing) to suit individual needs and disease characteristics. Diet therapy is used to treat many conditions, such as diabetes, obesity, gastrointestinal diseases, cardiovascular disease, and kidney disease, and is an important part of comprehensive treatment.
Our center offers therapeutic dietary nutrition according to the letter classification of diets:
The adult diet is organized by menu, with buffet elements (vegetables, vegetable side dishes, fruits, flour products, juice), while children have a prospective menu for 4 age groups according to the season.
The Neo Qi energy wellness cocoon, made in Latvia,
includes a combination of treatments including vibration massage, steam sauna, aromatherapy, infrared sauna, chromotherapy, and a Vichy shower. These energy treatments relieve muscle tension, normalize vascular tone, regulate metabolism, and promote weight loss. The treatment is also recommended for stress and depression, alleviates fatigue, and promotes effective relaxation and rejuvenation.
During the procedure, carbon dioxide penetrates the skin, accumulates there, and gradually, over the course of four hours after the session, exerts a local effect on blood vessels, causing significant dilation. This accelerates blood flow, eliminates congestion, slows the aging process, improves the endocrine and immune systems, and reduces stress on the heart.
Dry air carbon dioxide bath is successfully used in the treatment of:
Our center is equipped with a Dr. Kern Tan Can 8000 vertical tanning bed. This artificial tanning procedure is performed using UV rays (lamps) in a specially equipped booth. It provides an intense and even tan, boosts vitamin D production, and helps with skin conditions.
